The mission of the Every Tribe Every Nation® (ETEN) alliance is the same: Partnering to unleash the life-giving message of God’s Word to all people in their own language and in a format they can engage with so lives can be transformed. And for the first time in history, we have the means to make that goal a reality. Roads and ships, pens and paper have given way to computers, cell phones, tablets, and print on demand. The door is open for the Bible to cause true transformation everywhere.

From the scorching African desert to the frigid reaches of the Artic, technology has launched a revolution. Namibian tribesmen set up camp based not on the prey they hunt, but on the number of bars their cell phones receive. Nanet clan members in remote Russia have found text messaging a convenient way to reach out through the cold.
Satellites and mobile technology have blazed paths to reach these groups. In sun-weathered and glove-wrapped hands all around the globe, devices that connect people to each other can also connect them to something powerful: God’s living Word.
But for many people, no adequate translations of Scripture exist in the language they know by heart and the format they prefer. They’re connected through mobile technology; they’re waiting; and together, we can unleash God’s Word and reach them with the Bible wherever they are.

The ETEN alliance brings together the largest Bible agencies in the world -- the American Bible Society/United Bible Societies, Biblica, and Wycliffe/SIL -- which together are responsible for 90 percent of all translation activity. The Digital Bible Library™ works with frontline ministries like YouVersion, Bible Search, and others that are focused on distribution and engagement of the Bible. ETEN can help accelerate the eradication of Bible poverty. Language barriers finally will fall, and the Bible will be accessible to all.
The Digital Bible Library is operated by the United Bible Societies on behalf of ETEN and serves as the heartbeat of ETEN—a secure, accessible collection of quality translations. But it’s more than just storage. From this library, websites and mobile devices become portals to engage God’s Word. Just like Peter’s sermon in Acts 2: Everyone receives the Message; everyone understands.
This library is the key to unleashing ministry opportunities from South America to Asia. Because of the rapid expansion of the web, social networks and mobile technology, more opportunities arise every month. We must work quickly to take advantage of these new "roads" into places where people desperately need more than just food and water. They need to hear the Words of Life.
